Blue Man Group Tickets in Seattle

By: Tickets Finder    Category: Everett Events Center Tickets, Theater

You’ve seen them on TV but have you seen them in person? I haven’t, but I want to. I’m told they put on an extremely entertaining live show which has been perfected over the years with various performers under the Blue. Their wiki says this about the group:

Blue Man Group’s theatrical acts incorporate rock music (with an emphasis on percussion), odd props, audience participation, sophisticated lighting, and large amounts of paper. It is also noted for having a “poncho section” of the audience; in the front rows, audience members are provided with plastic ponchos in order to protect them from various foods, substances, paints, and so on, which get thrown, ejected, or sprayed from the stage. The shows are family-oriented, humorous, energetic and often employ thought-provoking satire on modern life. Much of the humor breaks the fourth wall, for example, interrupting the show to ridicule latecomers in the audience.

If you aren’t finding the tickets you want to this performance here is where we recommend you look:

Rain - The Beatles Experience Tickets in Seattle

By: Tickets Finder    Category: Paramount Theater Seattle Tickets, Concerts, Theater

It says something about a band when a tribute group can sell out the Paramont Theatre more than three decades after they break up. But then this is not just some band I’m talking about, the is THE band; The Beatles. There are a lot of Beatles Tribute acts out there so this one must be pretty darned good if they ticket brokers are swooping in and picking up tickets to this upcoming show.

I suspect you must already know that though. If you aren’t finding the tickets to this show you want at the box office here is where you should look next for after market tickets:

AIW Tickets has tickets to three shows starting at $129

Yeah, I know it ain’t the Beatles. But it might be as close as you’re gonna get so why not enjoy yourself? Happy hunting.

“Chita Rivera: The Dancers Life” Tickets in Seattle

By: Tickets Finder    Category: Paramount Theater Seattle Tickets, Theater

I am clearly not the target market for this show…

Ok, so I guess Chita Rivera is a famous dancer from back in the day. She became a huge star on Broadway in the 50’s. Apparently she remains a star in the eyes of a lot of people because the ticket brokers have bought up a lot of tickets to this show (and that means they expect it to sell out.) Well if that is the case then I say good for Ms. Rivera. (I must admit; she does have a pretty cool name.)

Anyway, if you are looking to see this show at the Paramont Theater and aren’t finding what you need at the box office here is where you should shop:

AIW Tickets has tickets to three shows starting at $150
Stubhub is worth checking
TicketsNow has tickets at $170

Brian Regan Tickets in Seattle

By: Tickets Finder    Category: Paramount Theater Seattle Tickets, Theater

Funny man Brian Regan is coming to Seattle for a show. Regan has a very funny shtick but is becoming best known for a startling and disconcerting approach he has taken to stand-up… he keeps it clean. Yup, the man is a outright revolutionary or something by taking the road less traveled and avoiding “blue” humor. I know, you thought that skill had been lost 50 years ago but apparently not so. If you are interested in getting tickets to this show and aren’t having much luck at the box office here is where we recommend you look online:

AIW Tickets usually has the best prices
Stubhub and TicketsNow are always must looks too.

Good luck

David Copperfield Tickets in Seattle

By: Tickets Finder    Category: Paramount Theater Seattle Tickets, Theater

David Copperfield has some magic shows coming in January to the Paramount Theater here is Seattle. For those of you (like me) who wondered — no that is not he real name. His wiki says:

David Copperfield (born David Seth Kotkin on September 16, 1956) is a world-renowned American magician and illusionist best known for his combination of spectacular illusions and storytelling. His most famous illusions include making the Statue of Liberty “disappear”, “flying”, “levitating” over the Grand Canyon, and “walking through” the Great Wall of China.

I guess that if you are going to lift a name from a Dickens book that is a pretty good one. But I have to wonder why he didn’t just go for a snazzy Dickens name like The Artful Dodger…

Anyway, he has a couple of shows scheduled. If you are having trouble getting tickets here is where I recommend you look:

AIW Tickets has tickets to three shows starting at $105
Stubhub has tickets tickets starting a $129
TicketsNow is worth checking out too.

Happy hunting.

Tickets to Doodlebops in Seattle

By: Tickets Finder    Category: Everett Events Center Tickets, Theater

Alright, I admit it: The Doodlebops kinda creep me out. My toddler likes the show well enough but I cringe every time it comes on. Seems too similar to the weird psychedelic stuff from decades past like HR Puff n Stuff and that always creeped me out as a kid. Plus, the whole music dance theater thing that the doodle bops reek of just ain’t my thing.

But let’s face it — The Doodlebops are not targeted toward dads; the Doodlebops are targeted toward little kids and little kids eat this kind of stuff up. So if you are looking for primo seats to their Seattle shows we have you covered. They have performances scheduled at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, The Everett Events Center in Everett, and the Paramount Theatre in Seattle.

Stubhub has excellent tickets (including front row seats) ranging from $86-160.
AIW Tickets has similarly excellent seats ranging from $60-85 (though only in Everett it seems)
Ticketsnow has many of the same seats ranging from $75-165

And for your reading pleasure here is some more info on the Doodlebops:

The Doodlebops is a Canadian musical comedy series for preschool children. Beginning its broadcasting run in 2004, the series, produced by Cookie Jar Entertainment airs on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in Canada in the CBC Kids morning block, and on the Disney Channel in the USA as part of the Playhouse Disney morning programming schedule. The series stars are Lisa J. Lennox as Deedee Doodle, Chad McNamara as Rooney Doodle, and Jonathan Wexler as Moe Doodle.

The Doodlebops’ characters are members of a kids’ band, not unlike The Wiggles.

The show features a mix of music, humor and skits that teach pro-social lessons. The show always includes scenes from a concert in front of a preschool audience who actively participate in the singing and dancing.

The band members wear heavy make-up and/or prosthetics to look like live-action cartoon characters. They wore cloth hoods with fake ears during the show’s first season only. In the show’s second season, the band changes to flashier versions of their standard costumes, including sequins and other metallic fabrics, during their concert segments.

Tickets to The Nutcracker in Seattle

By: Tickets Finder    Category: Emerald Queen Casino Tickets, Theater

Hey, what screams “Christmas” more than a ballet about a girl who gets magically shrunken and then fights a evil rat king? (Or maybe he is just a mouse king… at any rate, he’s the bad guy.) Apparently not much. And once again there is a top-flight production of the Nutcracker playing this December in Seattle. The music is as beautiful as ever and the dancing makes for a lovely experience every year. Here is a little trivia on the Nutcracker from the wiki:

The Nutcracker (Russian: Щелкунчик, English: Shchelkunchik), Op. 71, is a fairy-ballet in two acts, three tableaux, by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, composed in 1891–1892, and based on The Nutcracker and the Mouse King (German: Nußknacker und Mausekönig), a story by E. T. A. Hoffmann (1816). Alexandre Dumas’ adaptation of the story was set to music by Tchaikovsky (after the libretto of Marius Petipa) and has become the most popular ballet performed around Christmas time. It is appealing to children and adults alike and has been a standard yearly feature of theatres in many cities. A selection of eight of the more popular numbers from the ballet was made by the composer, forming The Nutcracker Suite, designed for concert performance. The titles of the ballet (simply The Nutcracker) and the suite (The Nutcracker Suite) are frequently confused.

Tchaikovsky composed the ballet in 1891–1892, but he was unsatisfied with it and considered it to be one of his less successful pieces.

The first performance of the ballet was held as a double premiere together with Tchaikovsky’s last opera Iolanta on December 6/18, 1892, at the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg, Russia. The ballet was conducted by Riccardo Drigo and choreographed by Lev Ivanov. However, this performance had just limited success.

The current popularity of The Nutcracker is due in part to Willam Christensen, former Ballet master of the San Francisco Ballet, who imported the work to the United States in 1944. The success of the ballet and George Balanchine’s choreography for his own 1954 version created a winter tradition of Nutcracker performances in the United States.

Ok, so on to where you should hunt for tickets. The box office is always a good place to start, but tickets sell out fast so here is where you should look to find just to the tickets you want:

AIW Tickets has tickets starting at $110
Stubhub is coming in at about $120
