New Kids On The Block Tickets in Seattle

By: Spencer    Category: Tacoma Dome Tickets, Concerts

NKOTB is coming to the Seattle area. They haven’t been here for a long time. If you are ready to get your boy band on, come to the Tacoma Dome for the show. Here is some info from wikipedia:

New Kids on the Block (also known as NKOTB by their fans) is an award-winning American pop group that enjoyed success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. They won two American Music Awards in 1990 for Favourite Pop/Rock Band, Duo, or Group and Favourite Pop/Rock Album for Hangin’ Tough.

Assembled in Boston in 1984 by producer Maurice Starr, the members consisted of brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood. The group went on to sell over 70 million albums worldwide, generated hundreds of millions of dollars in concert revenues, and having been widely regarded as pioneers of the boyband genre, paved the way for acts like Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC in the US, as well as Take That and Westlife in the UK. The group broke up in 1994. They reunited in April of 2008, and are now planning a new album and an international concert tour in the fall.

Celine Dion Tickets in Seattle

By: Spencer    Category: Tacoma Dome Tickets, Concerts

One of the best known solo singers is coming to Seattle. Celine Dion is singing at the Tacoma Dome soon. Here is some info from wikipedia:

Céline Marie Claudette Dion, OC, OQ (born March 30, 1968) is a Canadian singer, and occasional songwriter and actress. Born to a large, impoverished family in Charlemagne, Quebec, Dion emerged as a teen star in the French-speaking world after her manager and future husband René Angélil mortgaged his home to finance her first record. In 1990 she released the anglophone album Unison, establishing herself as a viable pop artist in North America and other English speaking areas of the world.

Dion first gained international recognition in the 1980s after she won the 1982 Yamaha World Popular Song Festival and the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest. Following a series of French albums in the early 1980s, she signed on to Sony Records in 1986. With the help of her husband, she achieved worldwide success with several English and French albums, ending the decade as one of the most successful artists in pop music. However, in 1999, at the height of her success, Dion announced a temporary retraction from entertainment in order to start a family and spend time with her husband, who had been diagnosed with cancer. She returned to the music scene in 2002 and signed a four-year contract to perform nightly in a five-star theatrical show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.

The Wiggles Tour Tickets in Seattle

By: Spencer    Category: Other, Tacoma Dome Tickets, Concerts

The Wiggles are the best. A few years ago I dressed up like them for Halloween and the kids loved it. They are coming to the Tacoma Dome here in Seattle for a show. Here is some info from wikipedia:

The Wiggles is a children’s musical group formed in Sydney, Australia, in 1991. It was founded by Anthony Field, Murray Cook, Greg Page, and Jeff Fatt. The group has achieved worldwide success with its children’s albums, videos, television series and concert appearances. The Wiggles were Australia’s “richest entertainers” in 2005, earning more than AC/DC and Nicole Kidman combined. In 2006, they earned $50 million. They have earned 17 Gold, 12 Platinum, three Double-Platinum, and ten Multi-Platinum awards for sales of over 17 million DVDs and four million CDS.

The Wiggles combine music and child development research in their videos, television programmes, and live shows. Field and Fatt were members of the Australian pub rock band The Cockroaches in the 1980s, and Cook was a member of several bands before meeting Field and Page at Macquarie University, where they were studying to become pre-school teachers. A school project led to the recording of their first album and tour in 1991. Their touring company expanded to include other characters (Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Henry the Octopus, and Wags the Dog) and a troupe of dancers.

Monster Jam Trucks in Seattle (actually, Tacoma)

By: Tickets Finder    Category: Tacoma Dome Tickets

In January the Tacoma Dome will be once again transformed into a giant car-smashing arena. Monster Jam Trucks is coming to the Seattle area. I’ve never seen this but it sounds super entertaining! Who doesn’t like to see giant monster trucks crush innocent little cars? Sound like fun to you? Here’s what you can do to get tickets:

AIWTickets has tickets for $65-85
TicketsNow has tickets for $70-$110

For those of you that don’t know what Monster Jam is here’s some info about it from Wiki:

Although Monster Jam events are held year round, the traditional competitive season (when televised shows are taped) runs from January to March, with a few events to start off the season in November. During the winter run, it is not unusual for up to 10 events to be run in different areas on the same weekend, with one or two major stadium events with 10-16 trucks, and a group of smaller arena events with 4-8 trucks. The season culminates in the Monster Jam World Finals in Las Vegas in late March.

According to the USHRA in 2004 season more than 2.5 million people attended these events.[1]

Because of the large number of events and massive popularity of the series, the list of trucks competing in the series is the longest of any promoter. The most popular trucks, which are usually featured on the television show, come from three primary groups: Trucks (or names) which are owned by Live Nation (such as Grave Digger and Madusa), independents or “privateers” (such as Gun Slinger and Avenger), and “corporate privateers” which are independently owned but sponsored by major companies (such as Bounty Hunter, sponsored by CSK Auto, and T-Maxx, sponsored by Traxxas). As some trucks are owned by Live Nation, a constant criticism is that events have the deck stacked in favor of their trucks, if not completely rigged. There is little evidence to support the claim, however, and Live Nation maintains that events are run fairly.
