The Wiggles Tour Tickets in Seattle

By: Spencer    Category: Other, Tacoma Dome Tickets, Concerts

The Wiggles are the best. A few years ago I dressed up like them for Halloween and the kids loved it. They are coming to the Tacoma Dome here in Seattle for a show. Here is some info from wikipedia:

The Wiggles is a children’s musical group formed in Sydney, Australia, in 1991. It was founded by Anthony Field, Murray Cook, Greg Page, and Jeff Fatt. The group has achieved worldwide success with its children’s albums, videos, television series and concert appearances. The Wiggles were Australia’s “richest entertainers” in 2005, earning more than AC/DC and Nicole Kidman combined. In 2006, they earned $50 million. They have earned 17 Gold, 12 Platinum, three Double-Platinum, and ten Multi-Platinum awards for sales of over 17 million DVDs and four million CDS.

The Wiggles combine music and child development research in their videos, television programmes, and live shows. Field and Fatt were members of the Australian pub rock band The Cockroaches in the 1980s, and Cook was a member of several bands before meeting Field and Page at Macquarie University, where they were studying to become pre-school teachers. A school project led to the recording of their first album and tour in 1991. Their touring company expanded to include other characters (Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Henry the Octopus, and Wags the Dog) and a troupe of dancers.

Larry The Cable Guy Tickets in Seattle

By: Spencer    Category: Other, Attractions, Paramount Theater Seattle Tickets

This picture sucks and there is nothing I can do about it… so there! Larry the Cable Guy is coming to the Paramount Theater to do his act here in Seattle. Come and laugh your face off. Here is some info from wikipedia:

Daniel Lawrence Whitney (born February 17, 1963 in Pawnee City, Nebraska), better known by the stage name Larry the Cable Guy, is a stand up comedian, actor, and one of the co-stars of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour and the subsequent series Blue Collar TV. He starred in the feature-length movie Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, provided his voice to star in the animated film Cars as Mater, its subsequent video game and its short film sequel Mater and the Ghostlight, and starred alongside close friend Bill Engvall in the film Delta Farce.

Whitney grew up in Pawnee City, Nebraska; he moved to Palm Beach County, Florida with his family when he was 16 where he attended Berean Christian School. His father, a preacher who once played guitar with the Everly Brothers, worked as the principal of the nearby Berean Christian Elementary School. Whitney worked at Wendy’s until 1985, when he began doing stand-up comedy with other West Palm Beach locals (such as his friend Jamie Porter). At the encouragement of friends and coworkers, he continued his standup work during amateur nights at the Comedy Club in Blue Springs, Missouri. In 1991, he began doing radio comedy, in which he would call into stations as fictional characters. The “Larry” character was created after a friend from one of the stations asked him to call in as a cable installer.

Hilary Duff Tickets in Seattle

By: Spencer    Category: Other, Everett Events Center Tickets, Concerts

I went to Hollywood for a few days back in 2003 and she was preforming on the Ryan Seacrest show. I saw the show (which was one song) and she was pretty good. She is performing at the Everett Event Center. Here is some info from her wiki:

Duff was born in Houston, Texas, the second child of Robert Erhard Duff, owner of a chain of convenience stores, and Susan Colleen (nee Cobb), a homemaker. Her middle name is the maiden name of her part German-American paternal grandmother, Mary Erhard; Duff also has German ancestry on the part of her maternal grandmother, Amy Beulah Schlemmer. After Duff’s mother encouraged her to take an acting class alongside her older sister, Haylie Katherine Duff, both girls won parts in various local theatre productions. At the ages of eight and six, respectively, the Duff sisters participated in the ballet The Nutcracker Suite with Columbus Ballet Met in San Antonio. The siblings became more enthusiastic about the idea of acting professionally, and eventually relocated to California with their mother. Bob Erhard Duff stayed at the family home in Houston to maintain their business. (Susan and Bob separated in 2006.) After several years of auditions and meetings, the Duff sisters were cast in several television commercials.

Billy Ocean Tickets in Seattle

By: Spencer    Category: Other, Emerald Queen Casino Tickets, Concerts

The only song I know about Billy Ocean is, “Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car”. I have been singing that song in my head for the last few months. He is performing at the Emerald Queen Casino soon so get your tickets. Here is some info from wiki:

He was born in Fyzabad, Trinidad and Tobago to Grenadian parents, and moved to England with his family at the age of eight. In his teenage years, he sang regularly in London clubs. He released his first single in 1972 on Spark Records as Les Charles.

By 1976 he had adopted the name Billy Ocean and recorded his debut album, Billy Ocean, with the first single, “Love Really Hurts Without You,” charting at number 2 in the UK and number 22 in the U.S. More hits followed, including as “L.O.D. (Love On Delivery)”. He also wrote songs for other artists such as LaToya Jackson. In 1982 he hit the U.S. Rhythm and Blues Chart with “Nights (Feel Like Getting Down).”

Ocean’s period of greatest success began with Suddenly in 1984 and its main single “Caribbean Queen”. The song’s title and lyrics were changed for different regions, such that the song is also known as “African Queen” or “European Queen”. The album’s title track also became a hit. His 1986 album Love Zone also sold very well. It included the hit singles “When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going” (the theme from the film The Jewel of the Nile, this was a number one hit in the UK and a number two in the U.S.; and “There’ll Be Sad Songs (To Make You Cry)” (a U.S. number one, and also a major UK hit).

Ocean’s next album, Tear Down These Walls (1988) featured another number one single, “Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car”.

His later albums, such as Time to Move On, Love is For Ever (also known as L.I.F.E.) and Showdown, failed to spawn hits, but his 1989 Greatest Hits collection has been a steady seller over the years.
