Little Feat Tickets in Seattle

By: Spencer    Category: Concerts, Moore Theater Tickets

I wish I had a sweet stash like half these guys do. Little Feat is coming to the Moore Theater for a show soon. Get on down to Seattle for the event. Here is some info from wikipedia

Little Feat is an American band formed by singer-songwriter, frontman and guitarist Lowell George and keyboard player Bill Payne in 1969 in Los Angeles. Several of the bandmates had played with George in previous bands before. However, after close to a decade, the fast life caught up with George and he passed away. The band broke up shortly after George’s death in August, 1979, and reformed nine years later. Singer and musician Craig Fuller from the band, Pure Prairie League was familiar with George’s vocal style, in particular, and the band re-joined, re-vitalized. However, a change of vocalist in 1993 ushered in the third incarnation of Little Feat. The band plays a mixture of blues, R&B, country, New Orleans funk, and rock and roll.

Randy Newman Tickets in Seattle

By: Spencer    Category: Concerts, Moore Theater Tickets

If you like Randy Newman you should look up the episode of The Family Guy when he makes an appearence. Very funny. Mr. Newman is coming to Moore Theater here in Seattle for a show. Here is some info from wikipedia

Randall Stuart “Randy” Newman (born November 28, 1943) is an Academy Award–winning American songwriter, arranger, composer, singer and pianist who is notable for his mordant (and often satirical) pop songs and for his many film scores.

Newman is noted for his practice of writing lyrics from the perspective of a “character” far removed from Newman’s own biography, often using the literary device of an unreliable narrator. For example, the 1972 song “Sail Away” is written as a slave trader’s sales pitch to attract slaves, while the narrator of “Political Science” is a U.S. nationalist who complains of worldwide ingratitude toward America and proposes a brutally ironic final solution (“Let’s drop the big one”).
