They are best known for their six #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100: “Rich Girl”, “Kiss on My List”, “Private Eyes”, “I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do)”, “Maneater”, and “Out of Touch”, as well as many other songs which charted in the Top 40.

The Cure Concert Tickets in Seattle

By: Spencer    Category: Key Arena Tickets, Concerts

The big band of the 80’s is coming to Seattle to play at the Key Arena. The Cure is ready to perform, so get your tickets soon. Here is some info from wiki:

The Cure are an English rock band that formed in Crawley, Sussex in 1976. The band has experienced several lineup changes, with frontman, guitarist and main songwriter Robert Smith—known for his iconic wild hair, pale complexion, smudged lipstick and frequently gloomy and introspective lyrics—as the only constant member.

The members of The Cure were barely out of their teens when they first started releasing music in the late 1970s. Their first album Three Imaginary Boys and early singles placed them as part of the post-punk and New Wave movements that had sprung up in the wake of the punk rock revolution in the United Kingdom. During the early 1980s the band’s increasingly dark and tormented music helped form the gothic rock genre. After the release of 1982’s Pornography, the band’s future was uncertain and frontman Robert Smith was keen to move past the gloomy reputation his band had cultivated. With the 1982 single “Let’s Go to Bed” Smith began to inject more of a pop sensibility into the band’s music. The Cure’s popularity increased as the decade wore on, especially in the United States, where the songs “Just Like Heaven”, “Lovesong” and “Friday I’m in Love” entered the Billboard Top 40 charts. By the start of the 1990s, The Cure were one of the most popular alternative rock bands in the world and have sold an estimated 27 million albums as of 2004. As of 2007 The Cure have released twelve studio albums and over thirty singles, with a thirteenth album in the works.

Daughtry Concert Tickets in Seattle

By: Spencer    Category: Fenix Underground Tickets, Concerts

I watched season 5 of American idol and thougth Chris Daughtry was the best singer. He is now enjoying a successful career as a performer. Here is some info from wiki:

Former American Idol season 5 fourth-place finisher Chris Daughtry stated that he would form a new band after turning down Fuel’s offer to make him their lead singer. On July 10, 2006 it was announced that Chris had signed with 19 Entertainment and RCA Records, which holds contracts with fellow American Idol finalists Kelly Clarkson, Bo Bice, and Katharine McPhee.

Chris is a singer-songwriter himself and has collaborated with several other songwriters, such as Live’s Ed Kowalczyk, Fuel’s Carl Bell, Brad Arnold of 3 Doors Down, Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty, SR-71 singer Mitch Allan, Brent Smith of Shinedown and Chad Kroeger of Nickelback. Hit writers Dr. Luke and Max Martin also lent their expertise to the album. Session drummer Josh Freese played drums on all the tracks for the album.

Daughtry himself didn’t have much of a hand in who was in his new band. Chris’s label chose band mates for Daughtry: Jeremy Brady, 21, a guitarist and at this point no longer in the band; Josh Steely, 36, as lead guitarist; Josh Paul, 29, as bassist who also played for Suicidal Tendencies; Joey Barnes, 30, as drummer. Interestingly, two of the band members hail from North Carolina - Joey, whom Chris had known for some time, and Jeremy, who was introduced to him a month before the audition. Steely and Paul are both from California.

I went to Hollywood for a few days back in 2003 and she was preforming on the Ryan Seacrest show. I saw the show (which was one song) and she was pretty good. She is performing at the Everett Event Center. Here is some info from her wiki:

Her middle name is the maiden name of her part German-American paternal grandmother, Mary Erhard; Duff also has German ancestry on the part of her maternal grandmother, Amy Beulah Schlemmer. After Duff’s mother encouraged her to take an acting class alongside her older sister, Haylie Katherine Duff, both girls won parts in various local theatre productions. At the ages of eight and six, respectively, the Duff sisters participated in the ballet The Nutcracker Suite with Columbus Ballet Met in San Antonio. The siblings became more enthusiastic about the idea of acting professionally, and eventually relocated to California with their mother. Bob Erhard Duff stayed at the family home in Houston to maintain their business. (Susan and Bob separated in 2006.) After several years of auditions and meetings, the Duff sisters were cast in several television commercials.

This picture says,”I am sexy, come listen to me sing.” I am kind of creeped out knowing that a picture is saying that to me. Kenny Loggins is coming to Seattle and he is performing at the Emerald Queen Casino. Here is some info from his wiki:

Loggins was born in Everett, Washington and raised in Alhambra, California. The early 70s found him in the band “Gator Creek” with Mike Deasy. Two covers are featured as well, Jackson Browne’s “These Days” and “Don’t Try to Lay no Boogie Woogie on the King of Rock and Roll” which was made famous by Long John Baldry.

Loggins continued his career in the 1970s. After attracting the attention of fellow singer-songwriter Jim Messina, the two began a duo career as Loggins and Messina. It lasted until 1976. In 1977, Loggins went on to produce his first solo album, Celebrate Me Home, which included the hit “I Believe In Love”. Nightwatch, a popular album released in 1978, included the hit “Whenever I Call You Friend”, a duet with Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac. In 1982 he recorded the album “High Adventure” where he collaborated with Michael McDonald on “Heart to Heart” and also with Journey lead singer Steve Perry to record “Don’t Fight It”, both Billboard Top 20 hits that year.

By: Spencer    Category: Emerald Queen Casino Tickets, Concerts

Being a young wiper snapper, I don’t know who Frankie Villi is, but if you do get your tickets. He is performing at the Emerald Queen Casino. Here is some info from his wiki:

Frankie Valli (born May 3, 1934 in the First Ward of Newark, New Jersey as Francis Stephen Castelluccio) is best known as the lead singer of The Four Seasons, a music act of the 1960s, which continued from then to the 1970s disco scene to the present day.

Valli scored over 25 Top-40 hits with The Four Seasons, a handful of Top-40 hits dubbed as a solo act in the late 1960s, one dubbed as “The Wonder Who?” in 1965 and again in the mid to late 1970s. Together they made the hit single December, 1963 (Oh What a Night) that can still be heard on the radio today. His best known “solo” single is Can’t Take My Eyes Off You which reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1967′ ‘Are you ready now’ became a surprise hit in the UK as part of the Northern Soul scene and hit no11 on the UK pop charts in 1971. Valli scored big again in 1975 when ‘My Eyes Adored you’ hit no 1 on Billboards Hot 100. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with The Four Seasons in 1990.

Valli started his singing career in 1952. He cut his first single in 1953 as “Frankie Valley,” a name he adopted from Jean Valley, his favorite female singer. In the mid-1950s he split up with the Travellers and joined The Variety Trio, which consisted of Tommy DeVito, twin brother Nick, and Hank Majewski. They redubbed themselves the Variatones, and later, “The Four Lovers” and had a top 40 hit with “Apple of My Eye” in 1956. After a few more name changes, the group was renamed “The Four Seasons” in 1960. About the same time, Valli “re-Italianized” his name to its current form. Nick DeVito and Majewski left the group in 1960 or 1961 and were replaced by Bob Gaudio and Nick Massi. Nick Massi was replaced in 1965 by Charlie Calello, the group’s arranger, and then shortly after Charlie was replaced by Joe Long. As the lead singer of the Four Seasons, he had a string of hits beginning with #1 hit “Sherry” in 1962. Valli has been the lead singer from then until the present time, occasionally releasing singles under his own name, notably the theme song from the film version of Grease, (written by Barry Gibb), which was a #1 hit. In 1976, Valli covered the Beatles song “A Day in the Life” for the ephemeral musical documentary All This and World War II.
